Honestly, I liked it way better than Gen 3...

I agree. 4th gen sucked.

It was mainly because a.) the monsters looked like rehashes of other monsters from the series, and b.) they never really brought anything the others hadn't already brought.

And maybe it's just me, but when we use names like Leafeon or Glacieron, I don't think we're trying to be remotely clever.

there weren't that many rehashes, I can think of a ton of 4th gen pokemon that were original, lucario, croagunk, scorupi, shellos, gible, piplup
